Audemars Piguet Alinghi Team Forged Carbon LE 26062FS

In the late 90's and early 2000's forged carbon was created by an engineering company near Lyon, France, which helped top-end watchmaker Audemars Piguet develop the process on a wristwatch scale for its Offshore sailing watches. These first pieces retailed for 60k plus, a new pioneering technology stronger than steel which was revered in Formula1 racing technology, aeronautical engineering & sail boat racing for its strength & lightweight balance. This striking forged carbon 44mm case Audemars Royal Oak Offshore is coupled with an automatic regatta flyback chronograph Audemars calibre 2326/2848 with up to 60hrs power reserve.

It was one of the most desirable  AP models of its day and very hard to get owing to the very small edition number of 1300 pieces. Importantly the edges of this case, caseback and bezel are in amazing condition as most today are quite worn down. Comes with its special Alinghi capstan box and papers set, circa 2007 and service papers for 2014.
