Flyback chronograph watches were originally introduced back in the 1930s. The clever complication "flys" the chronograph "back" to zero and keeps going without interruption. This allows pilots to start timing a new leg of their mission with a single push of the plunger (and also became useful in automotive racing to time laps). During World War II, flyback chronographs were considered significant technical advantages for air combat. Today they are one of the most celebrated complications in horology.
Powered by the Calibre F388B, an in-house movement from Blancpain that provides 50 hours of power reserve, employs 35 jewels, 297 parts, and beats at a high rate of 5Hz for increased precision and torque required of a flyback chronograph.
