F.P. Journe Invenit et Fecit, which translates to “Invented and Made” adorns every F.P.Journe timepiece, his personal credo that states his creations are truly original and meticulously built. And this beautiful Chronomètre Bleu that we are looking at today is a fine example of that philosophy, as one of the most sought after time-piece on the second hand market, this watch is a true icon
The dial has this unique mirrored shade of blue that reflects light and shimmers in an incredible iridescent fashion that sets the tone of the watch. Combining with the 39mm case made from Tantalum, a super precious metal named in reference to the ancient greek mythology "Torment of Tantalus". Tantalum is a very rare metal that shares similar density and weight with Platinum only more resistant to corrosion and wear. At fusion temperature 3106˚, this mysterious dark grey metal shines with subtle blue overtones.
Powering the watch is the exquisitely crafted and decorated manually-wound calibre 1304 movement, and is as peerless as you’d expect from Journe, with nearly the entirety of its construction in solid 18ct rose gold. The double-barrel structure works in parallel with each other to deliver stable power that ensures the accuracy is maintained throughout the duration of its 56-hour power reserve.
Circa 2013. This Tantalum Chronomètre Bleu is in an overall excellent pre-owned condition on the case, with only the pin buckle showing a few signs of usage. The watch is accompanied by its original box and paper, and an extra leather strap. And as always, it's backed by our 24 months warranty.
