The Mark series of watches are perhaps the most famous pilot watches by any manufacturer. Starting in 1948 with the Mark XI, IWC steadly updated the watch with different dials and case sizes. In recent years the Mark XVI through XVIII adopted a family style similar to the Big Pilot watch. For purists this change strayed too far away from the 1948 original. IWC fixed the problem with this watch, the tribute to Mark XI. Using the updated case size of the modern pilot watch with the clear Arabic numeral dial of the 48 means that the watch is the best of both worlds. This piece is in very good condition with box, papers and our 12 month warranty. Circa 2019.
