The Deep Sea "Cermet" Special Ed. is a true collectors piece. A Special Edition that was only available from the Boutiques and was introduced back in 2015. The watch present such a fine balance between vintage and mordern vibes. This three-counter chronograph movement takes its aesthetic inspiration from the the 1959 Memovox Deep Sea model. The chronograph operating indicator is inspired by the Jaeger-LeCoultre 1930s “chronoflight” onboard instrument. A diver needs to be able to see at a glance whether the disc shows that the chronograph is ready for use (white), in operation (white/red) or stopped (red).
On the side note tho, "Cermet" is a very interesting alloy mateiral that is part ceramic and part metal. It has incomparable properties of lightness, resistance, and stability. Which is lighter than most metal and ceramic materials, including Titanium. While has the strength and scratch resistance of ceramic.
On the caseback, an engraving of a diver, again, inspired by the original Deep Sea from 1959 with the "Special Edition" inscription above. Love the attention to details and them cute bubbles he/she left behind. And apparently there were less than 150 units have been manufactured of this ultra rare model.
The Deep Sea Cermet is in a very good pre-owned condition. Accompanied by its orginal Box and Paper. And 24 months warranty for your peace of mind.
