For sale today is this Longines Heritage Monopusher Automatic Chronograph in a 41mm steel case circa 2017.
This Longines is an uncommon to see heritage re-issue of their original 1930s~1950s~ monopusher aviation chronograph. As opposed to a regular chronograph that uses two pushers, this watch uses an altogether more mechanically complex monopusher system. This watch is 41mm in size and is 14mm thick giving it quite a large profile on-wrist. This comes with the Longines Calibre L788.2 movement and has 30m of water resistance.
The L788.2 is a Valjoux 7750 specifically modified for Longines by ETA for its monopusher chronographs. The 7750 is a very famous movement having featured in 100s of different watches and brands over the decades. It is a storied and reliable, if large, movement more than capable of hitting COSC specs for accuracy consistently. It contains 27 jewels, beats at 28,800 BPH and has a 54 hour power reserve.
This watch is designed after early Longines aviation chronographs and as such appears visually antique while maintaining all the benefits of modern watchmaking. It has an attractive if simple combo of a white and silver dial, as well as being paired with also historically relevant blue hands. The date is positioned at 6 o'clock to preserve heritage styling.
The watch comes on a leather strap with a Longines steel tang buckle.
This watch comes with our 12 month warranty.
