By using recyclable raw materials to make its watches, Mondaine is breaking new ground. These environmentally-friendly materials include natural rubber (for the strap), castor oil (for the case), and PET (for the protective cover). At the same time, we are also committed to never lose sight of our heritage. The way we see it, the use of environmentally-friendly raw materials for the Essence collection is simply our way of enhancing the classic Mondaine design - including its distinctive hour and minute hands and trademark red seconds hand - with ecological components.
