Omega first launch the Constellation in 1952, named after the eight stars emblazoned on its crest. The high-quality construction and unfailing precision exhibited by the watch saw the Constellation quickly become known as “the Swiss watch”. Circa 1961, this stunning 18ct yellow gold Constellation features a gorgeous champagne dial with applied onyx filled 18ct yellow gold baton markers and a date window at 3 o'clock. This watch also displays minimal markings on the dial as a characteristic of its age. Sitting on a black leather strap this gorgeous timepiece utilises an automatic movement and still displays seven of the eight stars emblazoned on its crest. Given the age of this timepiece it is often rare to find an example with so many of its original stars as they tend to fade from polishing over time.
