This classically styled OMEGA DeVille is an unusual and pretty timepiece. The DeVille collection has been one of the Swiss brands dressier collections with DeVille translating to ‘of or for the city’; a watch to hit the town.
Dating from the late 1960’s, the plated yellow gold 31mm x 22mm case is a hexagonal or “tonneau” in shape. Tonneau translates from the French to ‘barrel’ as the shape is reminiscent of an oak wine aging barrel.
The gold dial is vertically brushed with applied ‘baton’ indices and OMEGA logo and is protected by a plexiglass crystal.
Powering the watch is the manually wound OMEGA calibre 620 with a power reserve of 42 hours and a beat rate of 2.5Hz.
The timepiece is presented on a brown alligator strap with a gold plated pin buckle.
