Gent’s Omega Seamaster 1956 Olympics in 18ct yellow gold. Cream enamel dial with applied gilt markers. Automatic calibre 471. 33 mm case with Plexiglas glass crystal and faceted crown. Set on a brown leather Omega strap with gold plated buckle. This watch was released to commemorate the 16th summer games in Melbourne in 1956. Initially Omega designed the watch to feature the Cross of Merit on the dial. When they discovered that they weren’t allowed to use the cross in a commercial context the watch was redesigned to feature the dial we see here. This example is in truly beautiful condition and features the original cream enamel dial. Freshly serviced and sold with our 12 month warranty. Circa 1956
