Omega Seamaster 300

Omega Seamaster 300 in 42mm steel case. Black dial with printed markers and rotating divers bezel. Domed plexi glass and automatic calibre 550 movement. Watch sits on a steel bracelet with folded steel clasp. Watch comes in good condition and 24 month Vintage Watch Co warranty. Circa 1967. 

The Seamaster 300 was introduced in 1957 as part of a trilogy of watches from Omega. Included in this trilogy was the Speedmaster and Railmaster. The Seamaster 300 was originally water resistant to 200m but testing was also done at 300m with no signs of water ingress. Our Seamaster example has ‘certified high pressure waterproof Seamaster’ engraved on the back to showcase the watches water resistant prowess. 

It was this stability at lower depths that made Omega the household name for dive watches. Omega currently make the Seamaster Ultra Deep, which is capable of reaching depths of 6000M. This watch can trace its lineage to the original Seamaster 300, and how far dive technology has come since that time.
