The moniker "Big Blue" is self-explanatory—it's both enormous and adorned in blue, a true pinnacle among tool watches. Crafted by Ervin Piquerez SA in Bassecourt, Switzerland (also known as EPSA, famed for crafting Super Compressor diving cases for prestigious Swiss watchmakers like Jaeger-LeCoultre), the substantial steel case boasted a screw-down caseback and crown, along with precision-fitted pushers, enabling functionality in depths of up to 120 meters underwater. Omega's engineers conceived a novel approach by amalgamating the three-hand/bezel options, birthing a chronograph featuring a prominent central minute hand. To accomplish this, they sought a caliber capable of supporting this configuration—robust, highly accurate—the caliber 1040 stood out as the obvious choice. Once again, it's the Omega and Lemania collaboration, reminiscent of the 321 and 2310 calibers. The watch comes in good condition with our 24-month warranty.
