Omega Speedmaster Professional

First launched in 1957 the Omega Speedmaster is one of the most iconic wristwatches ever produced. Since 1965, the Omega Speedmaster has been the choice of numerous space programs and has been associated with some of mankind's greatest space adventures, earning it the name 'The Moonwatch'. Beyond its rich history of professional use the Speedmaster has appealed to a much wider public throughout the world due to its incredible history and timeless design. In 1985, Omega introduced their first steel Speedmaster with a sapphire display caseback to highlight the watches calibre 863 movement within. This was a limited series of 1,000 copies which each watch having an individual number engraved on the caseback bezel. Flash forward to 1988 Omega launched the second numbered edition with a yellow-plated calibre 863. The models then ceased to be numbered from the third generation which was launched in 1989, containing the same display back bezel as the second generation, but without the number. Circa 1989, this Omega Speedmaster Professional Apollo XI is a part of the unnumbered edition and features a black dial with printed tritium baton markers. In line with its predecessor this timepiece has a sapphire display caseback to highlight the manual wind movement within the watch. With a 42mm case this watch sits on a 1479 steel Omega bracelet and it accompanied by our 12 month warranty.
