Highly complicated and perfectly symmetrical, Patek Philippe 5396G-001 was introduced in 2006 as the first annual calendar in a historical Calatrava inspired case design that goes all the way back to the late 1930s.
38.5mm case in 18ct White Gold, equipped with an Annual Calendar, Moon Phase indicator along with a 24-hour indicator at 6 o'clock, day and month windows at 12 o'clock. This Patek Philippe complication is further distinguished by way of its 2 tone silver “sector dial”, featuring concentric circles which divide the dial into distinctive multi-toned sections.
Powered by the 45-hour power reserve automatic caliber 324/303, rhodium-plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment, and the stamp of the Patek Philippe seal. Constructed with 34 jewels, showcasing a 21ct gold rotor with an engraved symbol of the Order of Calatrava, a beautiful Greek cross with a fleur-de-lis at the ends that has been adopted by Patek since 1887.
This watch is truly a perfect example of a timepiece that follows in the footsteps of some of the all-important watchmaker’s most collectible designs with its unmistakably vintage-inspired charm.
Circa 2011, this Patek Philippe 5396G is in overall very good condition that only shows a few light marks on the side of the case while the clasp and the alligator leather are in excellent condition.
