The Datejust is famously one of Rolex’s longest running models. Introduced in 1945, it is undoubtedly one of the most iconic time pieces from the 20th century. What makes it so iconic, even to this day, was the advances in horology that were introduced with the Datejust. The timepiece was unveiled as the first watch in the world with a date window that automatically changed over at midnight. Although we now take this for granted, the innovation paved the way for future innovations.
