Rolex Datejust 36mm

Datejust ref 16234 (1995) is a timeless edition of the famed dress watch. It pairs a stainless steel Oyster case and Jubilee bracelet with a remarkable fluted bezel in 18kt white gold. This particular example features a beautiful silver "Tapestry" dial, that utilise the tritium luminous material and has a lovely patina.

The ref. 16234 was among the first five-digit offerings within the Datejust family, and importantly one of the first to also use a sapphire crystal. Also featuring the brand's patented "jumping date," which flipped over instantaneously at midnight rather than over the course of the last few hours thanks to the newer caliber 3135 compare to the 3035 on the previous Ref 160XX.
