Rolex Datejust 36 Ref.16234. Showcasing a sun burst silver dial with applied baton hour markers and a railway-track style chapter ring. Classic 36mm case with fluted bezel and a jubilee bracelet. The ref. 16234 was among the first five-digit offerings within the Datejust family, and importantly one of the first to also use a sapphire crystal.
Also featuring the brand's patented "jumping date," which flipped over instantaneously at midnight rather than over the course of the last few hours thanks to the newer caliber 3135 compare to the 3035 on the previous Ref 160XX.
