Rolex Datejust in 18ct yellow gold and stainless steel. Blue dial with 10 point diamond markers and date at 3. Automatic 3135 movement. 36mm case with sapphire crystal and screw down crown. Watch is set on a steel and gold Jubilee bracelet with folded steel clasp. This watch comes in very good condition with 24 month Vintage Watch Co warranty. Circa 2002. 

First introduced in 1945 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Rolex, the Datejust was originally going to be called the Rolex ‘Jubilee’. The watch as we know it now, The ‘Datejust’ had a bracelet made especially for it to mark the occasion to set it apart from the other models with Oyster bracelets. We now refer to this bracelet as the Jubilee bracelet. With the Jubilee name used elsewhere, the watch name became the ‘Datejust’ as reference to its date window which was the first in the world to change the date automatically at midnight. This iconic paring today is one of Rolex’s most successful and longest running models and is easily recognisable across the world.
