The Rolex Ref.116500 debuted in 2016, taking the place of the Ref.116520 and notably refreshing the Daytona appearance with a ceramic bezel and slight dial updates. Our example here is showcasing the white dial with black sub dial rings and was given the nickname “Panda” by the collectors all over the world. As one of the most sought after variant of the crown, this timepiece makes an impactful statement and is instantly identifiable as Rolex's esteemed chronograph. Its 40mm steel case, screw-down pushers and crown, and ceramic bezel create a unique backdrop for the unmistakable dial layout they encase.
Similar to its predecessor, the 116500 relies on the highly acclaimed Rolex caliber 4130 for its precise timekeeping. With 72 hours power reserve, this COSC certified chronometer movement features a Parachrom hairspring, offering greater resistance to shocks and to temperature variations.
