Rolex Explorer 1 39mm

Rolex Explorer 1 in steel. Matte black dial with applied batons and Arabic numerals. Automatic 3130 chronometer rated movement. 39mm case with flat sapphire crystal and smooth steel bezel. Oyster bracelet in steel with Fliplock.

This is the first version of the 39mm Explorer was the subject of much debate when it was first released. Many felt that the hands were to short for the new larger dial and that the lack of luminous material in the Arabic numerals was a missed opportunity. Aesthetic issues aside the fact remains that this model is still a striking watch and its short production run is bound to make it a sort after future collectible. This example dates from circa 2016 and is in very good condition. Freshly serviced and sold with our 12 month warranty.
