Rolex Explorer 2

This Rolex Explorer II is a 16570 reference and is from the period in the late 90’s when Rolex transitioned from using tritium markers to Luminova markers. The dial on this Explorer II is a “Swiss” dial which indicates it is the updated dial that uses Luminova markers. 

Our example presents a black dial with applied luminous markers and date at 3. Underneath the dial is an automatic Calibre 3185 movement which is houses inside a 40mm case with flat sapphire crystal and screw down crown. This watch is set on a stainless steel Oyster bracelet with folded steel clasp. Our Explorer II is in very good condition and is accompanied by its original Rolex box and warranty papers. Circa 1999.
