Rolex Oyster Perpetual

This Rolex Oyster Perpetual is a 1002 reference which can be argued as the most iconic. Its introduction in 1959 saw the unveiling of a well designed, sleek and robust everyday watch. This classic design remained largely unaltered until the end of its production run in the mid 1980’s, keeping true to Rolex design philosophy which now appeals to those seeking a vintage design. 

This example features a silver dial with applied baton markers. Beneath the dial is Rolex’s 1570 automatic movement which is highly regarded for its accuracy and robustness. This is housed inside a 34mm stainless steel case, fitted with a smooth stainless steel bezel, encircling the plexi we see the dial through. This Oyster Perpetual is set on a stainless steel bracelet, joined with a folded steel clasp and presents very little stretch for its age. This piece is in very good condition, complete with Rolex service papers dated 2021 and accompanied by 24 month Vintage Watch Co warranty. Circa 1983.
