Rolex Sea-Dweller

The Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600 was first released in 1988 and was produced until 2008, with the reference 16600 having become an iconic piece in the dive-watch world for its unmatched capabilities and smart design. At 40mm, this watch has the same dimensions as its Submariner brother but has a slightly thicker case due to its improved water resistance (1220metres vs 300 metres) and the gas-escape valve on the side of the case. With new model Sea-Dweller watches having increased case sizes of 43-44mm and extra thickness this Sea-Dweller offers reduced heft and dimensions that make it suitable for all wearers and everyday use. This example features a gloss black dial with applied luminous markers, enabling both day and night wear with the SuperLuminova material holding charge deep into the night and depths of the sea. Utilising an automatic movement the watch is fitted on a stainless-steel Oyster bracelet with a folding clasp featuring a diver's extension system that can be used when wearing the watch around a wetsuit or thick clothing for everyday purposes. Circa 2003, this watch is accompanied by its papers and our 24 month warranty.
