Seiko Prospex Hi-Beat Diver SLA025

Gent’s Seiko SLA025 Hi-Beat diver in stainless steel. Limited 1067/1500. Black dial with applied gilt markers and date at 3. Hi-Beat automatic 8L55 movement. 44.8mm case with sapphire crystal and screw down crown. Black rubber waffle strap with stainless steel fittings. The rare little watch comes in excellent condition with box, papers and balance of Seiko warranty. Circa 2018. 

 In 1968 Seiko introduced the worlds first hi-beat 300 metre diver in the form of the 6159-7001. This historic watch combined a chunky 44mm case with a hardened mineral glass and an automatic 36000 beat per hour movement. At a time when the Rolex Submariner still had a plexi glass, slow beat movement and non-quickset date, Seiko were pushing the boundaries of dive watch technology. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 6159, Seiko introduced this limited re-edition of just 1500 pieces.
