The Seiko SLA049J was created to honour famous Japanese explorer, Naomi Uemura. He placed alot of faith in what he wore on his wrist. His watch of choice while exploring extreme environments was the Seiko ref. 6105. The SLA049J is a limted edition piece made to commemorate his legacy after contact was lost with him while he was on his decent from Denali in 1984.
