Tudor Prince Oyster Date-Day

For sale today is this vintage Tudor Prince Oyster Date-Day circa 1969. A very early example of a Tudor sports watch this piece features an interesting "Date-Day" set of complications with the day at twelve o'clock and the date at three o'clock. This piece is very rare and in eight years we have not seen a single one come through our doors.

The full-day complication is very rare for a sports watch and is present here in a beautiful and stylish way. This piece would be excellent for someone who wants to wear something more rugged and utilitarian but still retain some of that stereotypical dress watch complication class. This piece also had lume reapplied on the hands and on small dots behind the hour battons to ensure it is legible both at night and during underwater activities. The watch also features a "high hat" plexiglass common on vintage watches of the period. This "high hat" was also recently replaced and is in perfect condition, really creating a brand new feel to this half a century year old watch.

The watch was recently fully overhauled and resealed and as such everything is fully functional. This vintage Tudor keeps time excellently as well as having a vintage movement which is a pleasure to wear on the wrist.
