The beauty of UR-100V in its raw, pure state, brimming with life and adrenaline, and takes us on a journey through both time and space.
The case, measuring 41mm in width, 49.7mm in height and a 14mm thickness is entirely made from sandblasted titanium, including the caseback and the 12 o’clock crown. The titanium alloy used for the case/bracelet has been coated in black DLC, fitted to a full Titanium with 32 black-treated sandblasted links. Hence the name of the model the "Full Black Titanium Jacket." Featuring the brand's signature orbital wandering hour indication.
The watch also displays two astronomical indications: distance travelled on Earth (at 10 o’clock) and distance travelled by Earth (at 2 o’clock). Using the speed of Earth at the equator and the Earth’s orbital speed around the Sun to display the distance travelled from these different perspectives in about 20 minutes. Not a lifesaving piece of information, rather an "Urwerkian" philosophical musing about time and its relationship to astronomy.
Powering the UR-100V is the brand’s UR 12.02 automatic movement. With 48 hours of power reserve and a rate of 4 Hz, the movement is controlled via a crown set at 12 o'clock.
